LOCATION
The apartment is within a short walk of a retail park with a B&M store among others, as well as Lidl, Aldi and Coop supermarkets and a Go Outdoor centre. Located conveniently close to the centre of Inverness, the proximity of the apartment makes it easy to walk into the town, along the Caledonian canal and explore the quaint city of Inverness. All amenities such as pharmacies, banks, food shops and cafes can be found here. Also near to the airport and within an hours reach of the Cairngorms Parks, as well as just over an hour's drive from the port towns on the North West coast of Scotland, from which the award winning white sand beaches can be easily reached, such as Achmelvich and Clachtoll beaches.
For the more adventurous, sail on further to marvel at the rugged and magical landscapes of the Isles of Harris or Stornoway. Whether you're seeking relaxation on sugar sand beaches overlooking crystal clear seas or following waterfall trails while walking through the dramatic and vibrant landscapes of the National Parks, or both, staying in Inverness makes it a logical move.
Charming Inverness is home to many historic buildings, particularly concentrated in the Old Town. The famous Victorian Market in the centre makes for an interesting afternoon or morning, (book lovers check out Mrs Leakey’s second hand bookshop). The grand Inverness castle is now used as a courthouse and the stunning St Andrew’s Cathedral overlooks the River Ness, providing a beautiful riverside view. Try your hand at fishing for the famous Atlantic Salmon, or just stand and watch the expert anglers on the edge of the Ness isles doing their thing. For forest adventures and incredible views of Moray Firth, journey up to Craig Phadrig, if you’re lucky you may be able to sight a bottlenose dolphin or two!
For history fans, the Maritime Museum and Highland Archive Centre provide a wonderful insight into the area's past, while the tropical gardens at Floral Hall is a gorgeous (and fragrant!) relaxation spot.
Whether you're after fine dining in a world class restaurant such as Contrast Brasserie or Rocpool, or prefer cosier and organic with Velocity Café or Nourish, we can guarantee something food-wise for every palate and budget.
Whether you opt for foot, bike or car, whatever the weather, Inverness and beyond provides visitors with a unique and unforgettably epic selection of landscapes.
The green lusciousness of spring across the rolling mountains give way to a carpet of purple heather in summer, before going up in a blaze of red and orange autumn splendour. The sparkling almost surreal layer of snow that coats the mountains in winter transforms the place into an entirely new winter wonderland. The dramatic natural environment is a magnet for photographers, nature lovers, writers, artists and tourists alike, with an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the world. Not to mention the possibility of glimpsing the magical Northern Lights!
Bursting with culture, history and natural delight, there is something for everyone in Inverness and beyond!
